Frequently Asked Questions
Clear answers about GameSyrup, pricing, listings, and accounts.
What is GameSyrup?
GameSyrup is a price comparison tool for physical video games. It aggregates listings from multiple retailers so you can compare prices, conditions, and availability in one place.
Does this include used / retro games?
Yes. When available, listings are categorized by condition such as new, used, complete-in-box (CIB), loose, or cart/disc-only.
How is this different from other aggregators/price trackers?
GameSyrup focuses on aggregating physical game listings across multiple retailers at once, including smaller independent shops. Other tools typically track prices per store, focus on digital storefronts, or only include a handful of retailers.
Why don't I see my favorite store yet?
Coverage is expanding gradually. Larger retailers take longer to integrate, while smaller independent shops are often added faster.
Trust & transparency
Are prices always accurate?
Prices are updated regularly, but availability and condition can change quickly, especially for used inventory. Clicking through will always show the retailer's current listing.
Do you sell games directly?
No. GameSyrup does not sell games or process payments. All purchases are completed on the retailer's site.
Do retailers pay to be listed?
Some retailers participate via affiliate programs, while others are listed to improve coverage. Listing does not currently imply endorsement.
Shipping, region, and pricing
Do listings include tax and shipping?
Prices are shown before tax and shipping.
Why do I see prices in a different currency?
Multi-currency support is being added as U.S. and international retailers are introduced.
Account & alerts
Do I need an account to use GameSyrup?
No. Browsing and price comparisons are available without an account. Accounts are only needed for favorites and price alerts.
How do price alerts work?
You can set alerts for specific games, conditions and retailers. You'll be notified when new listings at your target price appear or current listing prices drop.
Will there be a paid version?
A paid tier may be introduced in the future for advanced features, but the core comparison functionality will remain free.
Retailer-focused
I'm a retailer, how can I get listed?
If you run a game store and would like to be included, you can reach out via the contact page.
Do you support small or local stores?
Yes. Supporting independent and local retailers is a core goal of the platform.
